Moodbidri: A woman who was working in Kallamundkuru Sarvodaya High school was killed in a bus-two wheeler accident near Todankila on Monday. Tejashree(33) is the deceased.
On Monday, she was on her way to Kallamundkuru High school in her two wheeler. When she reached Todankila Bridge at 8.30am, a bus heading from Kinnigoli rammed into her vehicle, subsequently she fell on the road. A pickup which was behind the bus ran over her. She was taken to the hospital with the help of Kallamundkuru gram panchayath member Sathish Kallamundkuru and Bus agent Devdas with head injuries. She was later shifted from Alvas Hospital to Mangaluru. But she succumbed to injuries on the way.
Is it learnt nobody came to rescue her for fifteen minutes and was lying on the road.
She has three daughters. Her husband Sampath Kumar is employed abroad. Tejashree was employed in Jain PU college and recently she was appointed by the government in Kallamundkuru school.
She has served as the president of Moodbidri Devadiga Mahila Vedike.
The relatives of the deceased along with central minister M Veerappa Moily, former Muncipal president Rathnakar Devadiga and Devadiga Sangha ex president Rathnakar C Moily condoled her death.
