Mangaluru: Close on the heels of another provocative graffiti showing up in the city on Sunday morning, former minister and MLA U T Khader set a deadline of 15 days for the police to nab the culprits.
It many be recalled that in a matter of two days two provocative graffiti were sprayed by miscreants at two different locations.
While the first one supporting terror outfits-Lashkar-e-Toiba and the Taliban appeared on Friday morning, on the walls of an apartment near Circuit House, the second one speaking about decapitation being the only punishment for those offending the Prophet was seen on the wall of police outpost in the Court premises in the city on Sunday morning.
Emphasising that such developments should not be tolerated, Khader said that if the culprits are not put behind bars within 15 days, he will stage intense protest across the district.
While questioning what the intelligence department is doing in the state, Khader questioned the lax attitude of the government and the police, which is encouraging the miscreants to repeat such activities.
“The ones resorting to such activities do not deserve to live in this country. They should be sent out,” he said adding that the people do not seem to be scared of the law enforcing agencies under the BJP rule.
“Such incidents never happened under the Congress rule. Whenever the BJP comes to power, anti-social elements feel safe. The state government is comatose” he said adding that he will bring the issue to the notice of the CM and the Home Minister.
