Mangaluru: In a shocking incident, an under trial suffered severe head injuries after a scuffle broke out between the inmates at Mangaluru District prison on Saturday, September 3.
The injured is identified as Naushad who was lodged in the jail in connection to a theft case. He has been shifted to Wenlock District hospital.
According to police sources, a group clash led to the incident. However, the jail inmates are alleging that the jail authorities are involved and they must have hired other inmates to attack Naushad.
