Happy to release relief funds to people in crisi

Mangaluru: Chairman of Urban Development Authority Ravishankar Mijar organised a press meet here on Wednesday July 7.

Speaking on the occasion at ‘Mangaluru urban development authority hall’ he gave a detailed description on developmental programmes undertaken by MUDA authority in Mangaluru.

He said that he was happy to release relief funds to the people in crisis during this pandemic.

Speaking about the developmental programmes in the city he said, “Inspite of covid hardships, we are moving towards Master plan 3 of development. Nearly 80% of the works have been completed and within next three months Master plan – 3 will see its full-fledged completion.”

He added that widening the roads of Mangaluru and constructing Truck terminals and Truck bays in order to reduce the traffic problems in the city will be the next initiative.

“The layout work is in its meddling stage and as soon as the monsoon gets over by the end of October, other extension at Kunjathabail is expected to be completed in 2022 with one more layout gaining permission from the government,” he said.

Stating the public concern on lack of public parks in Mangaluru he announced to facilitate for one park each for every four wards.

He said, “The entire financial responsibility of Market construction was shouldered by MUDA and understanding certain inconvenience for fish and chicken trading in this region we have slightly barred it from opening it up for public. This issue will be resolved in a week.”

Making facilities to avail back the investment made for building, the flexible market will be open for public utility soon, he added.
