Mangaluru: Following the heavy showers received by the city overnight, a tree within the premises of Hotel Akkamakka in Hampankatta, fell on top of two houses this morning (June 10), damaging them.
Emergency officials from the fire department and the forest department were called to the scene immediately.
Newly elected MLA Vedavyas Kamath also visited the spot and has assured all support to the homeowners.
