Vittal: A Home Guard has reportedly attacked a student on Carmel college campus at Modankaup on Monday.
The victim is Mohommed Anish (19), son of PM Ibrahim, resident of Nehrunagar near Panemangaluru. He is the student of II BBM here.

The Home Guard has been identified as Kishore, posted at Pandeshwar police station limits and a resident of Amtadi.

It is said that on Monday afternoon, when Anish and two of his friends were proceeding for lunch, Kishore arrived at the college on a bike, beckoned Anish and started beating him up without any reason.

Before snatching away Anish’s bike key and proceeding to the Principal’s chamber, Kishore is said to have told Anish that he is a policeman.
Injured Anish was shifted to Bantwal government hospital.

Soon, Bantwal police who rushed to the spot nabbed Kishore and took him to the police station.

The students of the college have been raged by the fact that the College Principal, instead of questioning the accused about his unruly behaviour, ended up treating him like a guest in the chamber just because he is a cop.

As per locals, even in the past Kishore had targeted a particular section of students. In this case, the reason behind the assault is not known.
