Mangaluru: Hindu Hitharakshana Samithi Dakshina Kannada slammed Congress-led state government and police department for not arresting the accused in the murder of Sharath Madivala that took place in B C Road on July 4, despite one month having passed after the crime.

BJP leader Monappa Bhandary who addressed the press said, “Police were successful in arresting the accused in the murder of Ashraf Kalai and Jaleel Korapadi but unfortunately they or the home department have failed to arrest the accused in the murder of Sharath Madivala or attempt on Pawan Raj’s life in Melkar and Chiranjeevi in Kuthar. What type of political pressure is there to arrest the accused? But government and political representatives are appeasing a particular community.

Despite of one month after the murder of Sharath Madival accused have not been arrested, this shows the irresponsibility of the government. Moreover CM Siddaramaiah himself is handling the Home Department. As the murder taken place in constituency of district-in-charge minister and he is not showing any interest in the case, it clearly shows that district-incharge minister indirectly protecting the accused.

If the state government cannot trace the accused let it hand over the case to NIA.

Hence, Hindu Hitharakshana Samithi Dakshina Kannada condemning the failure of police department in arresting the accused and demanding the arrest of accused in Sharath Madivala’s murder, will hold hunger strike on August 8 from 10 AM to 4 PM in 7 places including Mangaluru, B C Road, Moodbidri, Belthangady, Puttur, Sullia and Kadaba.

VHP leader Jagadish Shenava and others were present during press meet.
