Mangaluru: The stopping of support and donation from Kollur Mookambika temple to two schools run by RSS head honcho Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat had created a lot of furore. Following this, District in-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai was under attack as supporters of Dr Bhat held him responsible for the same citing a hostile equation between two leaders.
However, in a new twist to the case,  minister for endowment and Muzarai Rudrappa Madappa Lamani said that the donation was discontinued by him and not by Rai.

“It seems like misuse of power by the previous government under which support was being extended to the schools which are 150 kms away from the temple. There has to be some sort of sense in this. Now a campaign has been started by Dr Bhat’s supporters and the irony is that rice distributed to people by Siddaramaiah government is being collected and forwarded to the said schools, ” he said.
