Mangaluru: III Additional Sessions Court, on Monday convicted three terror suspects arrested from various places in Mangaluru in 2008 in connection to terror activities. The convicts are Sayyed Mohammed Naushad, Ahamad Bava Abubacker and Fakeer Ahamed.
Meanwhile, four accused Shabeer Bhatkala, Mohammed Ali, Javed Ali and Umar Rafiq were acquitted for lack of evidences in the case.
Mumbai ATS and Mangalore Police arrested the accused from Chembugudde, Ullal, Mukkacherri, Subash Nagara, Haleyangadi.
Speaking to media Narayan Sherigar Assitant Public Prosecutor said that III additional sessions court convicted three accused under charges of section 16,17, 18 under unlawful act, 5(b) Explosive Substances Act, The Explosive Act 9bb, IPC section 120(b), Indian Arms section 125(1)A,
Judge Pushpanjali Devi pronounced the accused were guilty.
Reportedly, court will pronounce quantum of punishment on April 12.
