Mangaluru: A video of RSS head honcho Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat calling for cleansing of temples visited by State Minister for food and Civil Supplies U T Khader has gone viral.
The controversial remark comes in the backdrop of bulya (a respectful invitation) being extended to the minister by those enacting the bhoota, kolas. Questioning the need for the invitation, Bhat opined that Khader and others eating cow meat should be prevented from entering temples and went on to say that ‘Bhramakalashostava’ must be performed in all temples visited by the minister.
Speaking at the indefinite hunger strike organised by right-wing organizations at Kairangala in Khader’s constituency demanding the arrest of those involved in cow theft, Bhat alleged that Khader knew the cow thieves and many of them have been seen with him.
Regarding construction of roads in Khader’s constituency, Bhat said that Khader has not spent money from his pockets but it is the tax payer money that has been used for the construction.
It may be recalled that BJP workers, few months ago had resorted to cleansing of venues visited by actor Prakash Rai terming him anti-Hindu.
