In a remarkable display of skill and talent, Indian paddlers, led by local standout Raju Pujar, secured all three positions in the U-16 juniors category race at the inaugural India Paddle Festival held on Sunday.
Raju Pujar claimed the top spot, finishing first with an impressive time of 4:35 seconds. Akash Pujar secured the second position, clocking in at 5:35 seconds, while Praveen Pujar clinched the third position with a time of 5:39 seconds. The Indian paddlers showcased their prowess by dominating the podium in this category.
In other categories, World No.2 Fernando Perez emerged victorious in the men’s open sprint race over 200m. Meanwhile, in the women’s open sprint race over 200m, World No.2 Esperanza Barerras from Spain secured the first position, adding an international flair to the competition.
