Ullal: A youth who was found in a semi-conscious state with injury marks on his body near railway tracks died here on Sunday evening after being shifted to Wenlock hospital by the locals.
Nithesh Shetty (27) from Kollya Kaniruthota is the deceased. The victim’s sister has alleged that her brother was murdered. On Sunday afternoon, Nithesh was found on the railway tracks behind a bar in Thokkottu. Locals immediately shifted him to a hospital. He succumbed to injuries in the evening.
He was not able to speak in the hospital and was only moving his hands and legs. His right arm was broken and had injury marks on his lips and other parts of the body.
While being admitting to the hospital, he had given two names Dinesh and Avinash. His sister who learnt about the incident rushed to hospital. When her husband Lohith tried to speak with him, Nithesh revealed three names Avinash, Dinesh and Umesh.
His sister in a complaint has alleged that the three people who were mentioned by her brother have assaulted him. She also stated that Nithesh managed to escape and fell unconscious near the railway tracks.
Nithesh’s shoe and mobile phone were missing when he was found by the locals. It is said that his bike was also missing. The bike was later found parked near Thokkottu railway tracks on Monday. It is suspected to be a murder. The canine squad came to the spot but did not get any evidence.
