Mangaluru: A total of seven inter-district checkposts have been set up in order to examine those coming into Dakshina Kannada district from other districts.
Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh, speaking to media informed that as inter-district movement has been allowed now, seven inter-district checkposts have been set up at Talapady, Hejamady, Naravi, Jalsur, Gundya, Kallugundi and Charmadi.
The health screening team should use hand held thermal scanner for checking the temperature and in case the temperature is beyond 37.5 celsius, then he/she should be taken to the COVID Care Centre for isolation and further medical examination by doctor.
Meanwhile, the DC informed that though lockdown has been relaxed now, people should not venture out of their homes unnecessarily. Wearing mask is compulsory and social distance should be maintained.
Informing about the First Neuro Hospital from where virus spread, the DC said that a total of 210 persons from the First Neuro hospital have been quarantined.
Meanwhile, a total of 850 primary and secondary contacts of these 210 persons have also been asked to take utmost care.
People should co-operate with the district administration during the relaxation of lockdown also, she informed.
