Mangaluru: The Jamiyyathul Falah (Mangaluru Unit) donated a dialysis machine to the Kanachur Institute of Nephro – Urology in a programme conducted in the Kanachur Hospital on Friday, October 4. This is the second dialysis machine that they have donated to the Kanachur Hospital and the 8th such donation in Mangaluru.
Omani Businessman Abdulla Monu was the chief guest at the event. Dialysis technician Fathima Bishara did the invocation while Jamiyyathul Falah Secretary Naseer welcomed the gathering.
Later, the official papers of the dialysis machine were handed over to the Kanachur Hospital Chairman by the Jamiyyathul Falah President.
In his address, Haji UK Monu said that the Kanachur Hospital had been built on the grounds to serve the marginalised sections of society with affordable and quality healthcare and added that the hospital had made a difference in the region. He also encouraged Jamiyyathul Falah to continue the good work.
Haji Abubakker mentioned that this was the first donation that was being done under his leadership and that he looked forward to reach out to more people.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Abdulla Monu appreciated the efforts of all the people involved in such projects and collaborations.
Kanachur Hospital Chief Administrative Officer Dr Rohan Monis delivered a report on the previous donation and said that the aim of quality, affordable healthcare had been rendered to the intended beneficiaries. Hospital Manager Zulfikar Ali delivered the vote of thanks.
