Mangaluru: A young woman was killed and three others injured when a jeep they were traveling overturned at Sankalakariya near Mundkur on the evening of Sunday June 19.
The jeep driver has been identified as Bhaskar. Five people were travelling in the jeep. Though the injured were rushed to a hospital in Mangaluru, the succumbed to her injuries.
Unaware of the construction at Athrady-Bajpe road work, the jeep driver had no clue of the steep turn due to which the jeep overturned, the eyewitnesses said.
Karkala Rural Police is investigating.
