Mangaluru: Expected to be a major heist, a jewellery shop in Mangaluru was decamped by miscreants during wee hours of Tuesday.
Arun Jewellers on Bhavanthi street was targeted by miscreants, who gained entry into the showroom by digging open a wall on the backside of the building in which the jewellery showroom was situated. The sources say that robbers used gas cutters to cut open a few security doors to take away the jewellery. While the estimated loss is not yet known, sources say that the cost of the stolen jewellery may run into crores of rupees. Police are investigating.
