“I am a part of this fight for Justice because I am a mother myself and only a mother can understand the pain of losing her child,” said the Mayor adding that being a sportswoman herself, she can vouch that no sportsperson who has made it to the national-level will give up on life so easily and contemplate suicide.

Dinkar Shetty, convener of Justice for Kavya Horata Samithi said that death of Kavya has raised several suspicions with her mother too expressing her doubts.
