Mangaluru: Dr K G Jagadeesh took charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada here on Monday, August 1.
Chief executive officer of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat P I Shrividya handed over the charge at the district commissioner’s office. Additional Deputy Commissioner Kumar and others were present on the occasion.
Dr K G Jagadeesh, an IAS officer of 2005 batch had earlier served as the DC of Kalaburagi district and was the first DC of Yadgir district. K G Jagadeesh last served as the Managing Director of Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation Limited (RGRHCL) in Bengaluru before being appointed as the DC of Mangaluru. He had also served as the director of horticulture, assistant commissioner of Kalaburagi sub-division and commissioner of Kalaburagi City Corporation.
