Mangaluru: The allegations of swindling money off the donation box at Kadri Shri Manjunatheshwara Temple here has caught the attention of District Administration now.

Dakshina Kannada District Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K. V. said that the District Administration will shortly release guidelines to follow while counting the amount in donation box. A meeting will be held on Monday March 28 wherein a concrete plan in this regard can be taken up after due discussion, he noted.

The Administration for now has asked the Assistant Commissioner for Religious Endowment to check CCTV footage and file a report about the complaint that a trustee had swindled away money from temple donations. FIR would be registered if need be, he added.

Meanwhile Kadri Temple Trustee H. K. Purushotham has filed complaint at Kadri Police Station asking them to investigate the matter. He has also approached the Temple Executive Officer asking him to reveal the truth.
