Mangaluru: Jamiyyatul Falah – Mangalore Corporation Unit donated a dialysis machine to the Kanachur Hospital & Research Centre, Natekal, Mangaluru on Feb 23. This was done as a part of a collaboration between the two in order to offer subsidized dialysis care to patients with chronic renal inefficiencies. The patrons of Jamiyyatul Falah donated a Dialysis Machine, in view of alleviating dialysis costs to the patients in the rural area of Natekal and beyond.
The social exchange event was graced by DCP – Crime and Traffic: Uma Prashanth as the Chief Guest; Haji U K Monu – Chairman, Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences and President WAKF Board – Dakshinna Kannada; Saduddin M.Salihi – President, Jamiyyatul Falah, Corporation Unit; Haji K S Sayed Karnire – Chairman, Karnire Charitable Trust; Abdul Rauf Puthige – Chairman, Talent Research Foundation; Imtiaz Ahmed Khateeb – Treasurer, Jamiyyatul Falah; Jamal Kudroli – Treasurer, Jamiyyatul Falah; Dr. Virupaksha – Dean, Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences; Mohammed Suhail – Principal – Kanachur College of Physiotherapy were present on the dais.
Uma Prashanth, inaugurated the event by releasing the veiled ribbon off the Dialysis Machine in the Dialysis Unit of Kanachur Institute of Nephro-Urology.
Nazeer, welcomed all the dignitaries with a floral tribute and compered the program. Saduddin Salihi, spoke about the contributions of the Jamiyyatul Falah over the last 30 years of their existence and their plans hereafter. It’s highly commendable indeed. DCP Crime and Traffic – Uma Prashanth, in her address mentioned that she was happy that health needs like these were addressed and that giving to the society is a welcome gesture, especially to the needy. She mentioned that in these times, there is no gender discrimination and that women are empowered, so much so that they are getting laurels in every field. She encouraged the new generation of healthcare providers to have high work ethics and be drug free. Haji U K Monu – Chairman, Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences and President of WAKF Board, DK, in his address, stressed the need for a healthy lifestyle and that Kanachur Hospital was here to serve the health woes of the needy and provide them with the best care.
Abdul Rauf Puthige – Chairman, Talent Research Foundation, in his address to the audience, said that all activities like this need a heart to reach out to the needy and that giving in whatever form or design is always a blessed gesture. Retaining a better health focus is the need of the hour and he mentioned that he was happy that Kanachur Hospital is associated in this cause, and he thanked and wished Haji U K Monu. Dr. Rohan Monis, Chief Administrative Officer, Kanachur Hospital & Research Centre, in his vote of thanks, acknowledged all the almsgivers and patrons for the cause and for bringing this collaborative effort to a stand.
