Mangaluru: While several ministers are in the news for the considerable increase in their assets, as declared by them while filing their nomination papers, State Minister for Food and Civil supplies U T Khader, it is gathered does not own a car or even any jewellery.
The three-time MLA from Ullal, in an affidavit while filing his nomination papers has declared that he is in possession of Rs 41,26,804 worth of movable property while that of his wife is worth Rs 28,68,763.29. Further, his wife owns two cars, one being a gifted one(in the year 2002) and the other a purchased vehicle in 2009. In addition to this she possesses 500 gram gold.
Meanwhile, another prominent leader from the district Bawa, in his election affidavit has declared total assets(movable & immovable) of Rs 19,06,34,437 while that of his wife is Rs 7,89,03,505.
