Mangaluru: Minister for Social Welfare and Backward Classes Kota Srinivas Poojary asserted on ‘one candidate, one vote’ stating that such developments in politics might bring in a huge change. Noting that over 250 votes became invalid in the last elections, he called on party workers to make every vote count and atleast get 100 more votes than what currently is anticipated.
He was addressing Gram Panchayat and Town Panchayat Members and Eorkers under Mulki – Moodabidri circle at Kinnigoli on Friday December 3. He said, “If we are united getting a majority is not difficult. As I am contesting for the fourth time I urge to vote me and help undertake development works.”
BJP District President Sudarshan Moodabidri said, earlier the bond between Gram Panchayat (GP) members and BJP was very weak. However now even Panchayat members are helping in strengthening the organisation. “In fact you have become our biggest power,” he noted.
Moodabidri MLA Umanath Kotian called on the GP Members to vote for Minister Srinivas Poojary and thus raise the standard of the constituency.
Further, addressing Gram Panchayat and Town Panchayat members and Workers under Mulki – Moodbidri circle in Kateel, MLC Pratap Simha Nayak said that we are confident that we will win MLC elections. However, he cautioned that over confidence too is not good. I have obseerved that the party workers of Dakshina Kannada District have the highest regard for BJP, he added.
