Mangaluru: Karnataka registered seven new positive cases on Tuesday (12 noon), out of which one case has been reported from Bantwal taluk of Dakshina Kannada district.
Out of the total seven new cases, one 80-year-old elderly died in Kalaburgi.
A 67-year-old lady from Bantwal in Dakshina Kannada was tested positive for COVID-19. It is the 16th positive case of Dakshina Kannada district.
She is the neighbour of the 50-year-old lady from Kasaba village in Bantwal, who died due to COVID-19 recently and became the first COVID fatality of Dakshina Kannada district.
Three cases have been reported from Vijayapura and three other cases have been reported from Kalaburgi.
