Kulai Foundation to adopt 250 students, meet edu expenses

Mangaluru: Founded with the objective of women empowerment, education of poor children and development of Government schools, “Kulai Foundation” plans to adopt around 250 socially and economically backward children for educational purposes in addition to meeting the entire education expenses of this academic year, said Pratibha Kulai, Foundation Founder.

Speaking to mediapersons on here in the city, she said that through the Foundation, which is moving ahead on the ideals of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and Narayana Guru, more emphasis will be laid on the education of girls and steps will be taken for their future job security.

The Kulai Foundation which was established in 2019 has already supported the education of 131 underprivileged children. During the last two years of Covid – 19 and lockdown, the Foundation has distributed food and kits to 250 labourers and needy people at Hampanakatte in Mangaluru everyday, she informed.

In the coming days, Kulai Foundation will adopt Government Schools and organise programmes to focus on learning through English medium and upgradation of Government Schools, she said. The academic year has begun for the colleges and the students who are struggling to pay the fees will be givenfinancial aid, especially those pursuing PUC, Degree, Diploma, and ITI education, she added.
