Mangaluru: As a result of cyclone Nada which passed through Tamil Nadu coastal areas in the last 48 hours, light rainfall and thundershowers are very likely to occur in coastal, south interior and isolated places of North Karnataka for the next three to four days.
Indian Meteorological Department in a press release said, cloudy climate with light rain is expected for the next two days in coastal and south interior parts of the state. Maximum and minimum temperatures may prevail between 27 and 18 degree Celsius, the release said.
Rainfall occurred at many places over south interior Karnataka and at isolated places over coastal Karnataka. Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed over north interior Karnataka. Hiriyur at Chitradurga district, Madhugiri, Bargur, Pavagada, Pavagada of Tumakuru district, Chintamani, Thondebhavi, Gowribidanur, Tiptur, Koratagere, Bukkapatna, Sira and other areas recorded rainfall.
Meanwhile, the depression moved west wards, weakened into a well marked low pressure area and lay centered over interior Tamil Nadu and neighbourhood in the last 24 hours.
