Mangaluru: Dharmadhikari of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala, D. Veerendra Heggade, exercised his right to vote at a polling booth established at the SDM School in Dharmasthala. His younger brother, Harshendra Kumar, and his wife also cast their votes.

Congress Candidate Seeks Blessings of MP Kateel

Congress candidate for the Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha segment, R Padmaraj, sought the blessings of current BJP MP Nalinkumar Kateel. The MP had come to cast his vote at a polling booth at Lady Hill Aloysius School. Padmaraj, who was visiting the booth at that time, met the MP and sought his blessings.

MLA Arranges Ambulance for Ailing Lady to Cast Vote

Puttur MLA Ashok Rai arranged an ambulance for a lady ailing from health issues to cast her vote. The lady, Satyamma, was brought to polling station number 70 in an ambulance and was ferried back to her house after casting her vote.

Congress candidate Padmaraj reacted to an incident of a BJP worker creating a scene at a polling booth. He said that the BJP is doing it because they know they are losing this election and tried to disturb the tranquility. “This is a festival of democracy; let us all celebrate with happiness, no matter what the result may be,” he said.
