Mangaluru: A lorry carrying onions crashed near Kapikad on National Highway 66 near here on Friday May 13.
The lorry was transporting onions from Maharashtra to Kerala when the accident occurred. No one was injured in the incident.
According to sources, the three occupants of the truck escaped with minor injuries. It is alleged that the lorry was driven at a high speed over the Thokottu overbridge, and the driver lost control on the downward slope.
The onion sacks spilled all over the road. For a while, there was a traffic jam on the highway.
