Mangaluru: The civil court here on Monday June 6 posted the Malali Masjid case for the next hearing on June 9.

III Additional Civil Judge and JMFC H. Sujatha said that before assigning a Court Commissioner to survey the Masjid, the court will decide the viability of a civil suit seeking a permanent injunction to stop the Malali Jumma Masjid authorities from demolishing the old tiled structure of the Masjid, which is said to resemble a temple.

Plaintiff Dhananjaya further submitted a memo urging the court to examine his Interlocutory Application for the appointment of a Court Commissioner to survey the Malali Masjid. The court, however, dismissed the case.

The court heard the Masjid’s attorney on Monday and adjourned the case to June 9 to hear the petitioner.
