Mangaluru: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal performed the Thaambula Prashne ritual at Sri Ramanjaneya Bhajana Mandira Malali in the City outskirts on Wednesday May 25.
The Thaambula Prashne is a traditional way to find out the truth about the divine presence at a site. The priests are approached to know the history in this ritual. Gopalakrishna Panicker from Kerala who conducted the ritual said that presence of a Shaiva Shrine or Matha was likely to be present at the site. For further details Ashtamangala Prashne may be conducted, he added.
Recently, a temple-like structure was found when the renovation of the Malali Masjid was being undertaken, thereafter creating a controversy.
