Kasargod: In a major breakthrough, Kumble police arrested a person in possession of Rs 14,26000 unaccounted cash without any legal documents on Thursday, Februrary 16.
The arrested, has been identified as Abdul Aziz(48), resident of Adooru Kandamhodina.
It is gathered that the police found the cash concealed under the car seat when they intercepted the vehicle near Kumble-Badiyadka road. Abdul Aziz informed the police that he had obtained the money through sale of arecanut produce in Mangaluru. However since he could not produce any document to validate his claim the police detained him for further investigation.
