Man found dead under mysterious circumstances in Neermarga

Mangaluru: A man was found dead under mysterious circumstances near the compound wall of a building at Neermarga here on Thursday January 28.

Police said that the identity of the youth is yet to be ascertained.

However, the neighours said that a lady staying in the building outside which the body was found, had seen him. Suspecting him
to be a thief, she alerted the security guard who in turn tried to chase him. It is said that while the man tried to escape, he fell from one of the floors onto the ground and died.

It is also said that the residents of the flat put the body outside the compound and cleared the blood stains.

Police said that the cause of the death is unclear adding that no concrete evidence has been found yet.

Mangaluru rural police have registered a case. CCTV footages are being checked, it is learnt. Further investigations are underway.
