Mangaluru: The ‘Catholic Maha Samavesha – 2020’ was held on Tuesday, January 14, at the Bishop’s House in Kodialbail.
The programme was inaugurated by Most Rev Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of the Mangalore Diocese.
The chief guests of the programme were Rev Msgr Maxim L. Noronha, Vicar General of the Mangalore Diocese and Rev. Fr. Binoy Joseph Kurialassery, Diocesan Director of St. Lawrence Cathedral Church, Udayanagara, Belthangady. Paul Rolphy D’Costa, president, Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh, presided over the programme.
Bishop Dr Peter Paul Saldanha unveiled the invitations of a Catholic Maha Sabha programme which is scheduled to be held on February 2, and blessed the occasion. He then informed that he would be present at the Catholic Maha Sabha programme in Madanthyar on February 2 and invited others to be a part of the same.
Rev. Fr. Binoy Joseph Kurialassery said that the Belthangady Church would extend its support for the programme to be held on February 2.
Earlier, the programme began with a prayer service.
Convenor Joyal Mendonca rendered the vote of thanks and Walter Monis compered the programme.
Several office bearers of the Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh and other dignitaries were present.
