Mangaluru: Quashing anxiety among student regarding non-issuance of hall tickets, Mangalore University confirmed that students will be writing their exams without hall tickets.
Hall tickets are usually issued by colleges and universities to declare the eligibility of students to write examinations, Students are often denied their right to sit for examinations on not showing hall tickets. With examinations starting from tomorrow, and students not having received their hall tickets has caused a lot of anxiety in the student community.
The University clarified that they failed to issue hall tickets to its students due to a technical glitch, and assured students that they will be allowed to write their exams without any delay. “We are working on a new system and hopefully it will be ready by tonight,” said Dr PL Dharma, Registrar(Evaluation), Mangalore University.
Mangalore University issued a circular stating the same.
For tomorrow’s exam, students will be allowed to sit for the examination based on the identity card issued upon their admittance. Respective principals will be responsible for carrying out the examinations based on the new guidelines.
He added that due to Covid-19, attendance has not been factored into the eligibility criteria for students to sit for examinations
