Mangalore University PG courses to be audited

Mangaluru: The Vice-Chancellor of Mangalore University, P S Yadapadithaya made the announcement in the Second General Meeting of the Academic Council of the University that all PG courses offered by the University would be audited after the Dasara holidays.

The varsity offers 42 PG courses in its 25 departments. The varsity has observed that there is a sharp disparity in the number of students in different courses and some courses are having students in single digits.
The Vice-Chancellor has stated that he would head the Audit Team, and any revision would be done only with due process. For future, however, studies on utility/ career opportunity of various courses would be discussed with faculties and students in various departments before deciding on the PG Courses to be offered.
