Mangaluru: Police has arrested the accused responsible for the death of a pedestrian five years ago, and was absconding. All these years he was not attending the court hearing.
The arrested has been identified as Selvaraj of Periyavadagarai of Perambadoor District in Tamil Nadu. Bantwal Traffic Police arrested him from Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh.
Acuused is tanker driver and had knocked down a pedestrian near B C Road in 2017 and caused his death.
The Court has remanded accused Selvaraj to judicial custody.
