Mangaluru: The BJP at the Centre and State are the ones who are actually benefited by Tipu Sultan, and Taliban as they take political advantage due to these issues, said Deputy Leader of Opposition in Assembly and MLA U T Khader.
Addressing reporters here, Khader said that in this background BJP State President and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel’s statement that the coming Assembly elections are about Tipu Sultan and Veer Savarkar is nothing to be shocked about. These issues acts like oxygen for BJP just before elections. Their political survival demands on it, he asserted.
Commenting on the State Budget presented by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, he said that the assurances given to fishermen in the Coastal region has not been fulfilled. All 12 BJP MLAs did not work towards getting any grant to the region, he added.
