Mangaluru: Deputy Leader of Opposition and MLA U. T. Khader, stated on social media that the BJP and RSS had a hidden purpose to do away with the reservation system.
Khader tweeted, “The BJP MLA’s stand demanding cancellation of the reservation for minorities under 2B is against the Constitution. It systematically has given rise to confusion regarding the elections to the BBMP and local administration bodies resulting in the cancellation. Now, the BJP and RSS plan to get the reservation permanently cancelled for all sections of citizens, including minorities, backward classes, scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, by making the system look all the more haywire by introducing 2A and 2B.”
In his post, Khader added that no one should forget that Rama Jois of the BJP-RSS was the first to ask the court to remove the reservation.
