Mangaluru: The CCB Police has arrested one person for allegedly transporting the banned drug MDMA from Bengaluru to Mangaluru.
The accused has been identified as Abdulla C. (39), a native of Cherkala in Kasaragod. The CCB Police arrested the accused after receiving information that the arrested accused was coming from Bengaluru to Mangaluru in a car to sell the illegally banned drug MDMA to the public.
A team of CCB Police led by ACP Hegde seized 150 grams of MDMA, a used car and a mobile phone from the accused.
The value of the seized drugs is estimated at Rs. 17.61 Lakh. A case has been registered at Mangaluru Rural Police Station. Police said cases related to drug trafficking are pending against the accused at various police stations, including Vishakapatnam and Kasaragod.
