Mangaluru CCB nab cocaine peddler from Goa

Mangaluru: The City Crime Branch (CCB) police arrested a key accused of procuring powerful drug cocaine for the public from Goa, on Wednesday, October 31.

The arrested has been identified as Ajmal Pulikkal Mohammed (44), son of Aziz Pulikkal, a resident of Candolim in Goa, presently living in Kunjathur of Kasargod district. Sources from CCB police informed that the Kadri Police had arrested five persons in the month of August 2018 and seized a car, mobile phones and cocaine worth Rs 70,000 from their possession. During interrogation, the arrested informed that they used to get cocaine from a native of Goa.

Based on that information, a team of police headed by CCB Inspector Shantharam and Inspector of Mangaluru East Police Station Maruthi Nayak succeeded in arresting Ajmal. Sources also informed that he has a pending case in Ullal Police Station pertaining to possessing fake passport.

A case has been registered in Mangaluru East Police Station in this regard.
