Mangaluru: The Enforcement Directorate is conducting searches at some locations in connection to the Mangaluru cooker blast case on Wednesday January 11. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) held a raid as part of a money laundering probe linked to a cooker bomb blast that took place in the City.
The money laundering case is being investigated by the federal agency based on an FIR from the National Investigation Agency.
According to sources, searches are also going on at Shariq’s Shivamogga house, who was the blast’s primary suspect. The relatives of Shariq are also being searched.
ED officials searched a building in Theerthahalli and also Shariq’s father’s shopping complex in the Soppa Gudda area. Congress also had an office there that it had rented. The Congress office was taken on lease from the autorickshaw blast case accused Shariq’s family.
