Mangaluru: In a tragic incident, a deity dancer died after collapsing while performing a deity dance from Yedamangala Village near Kadaba on March 30.
Kanthu Ajila, who was known as a divine dancer in the Village, was the one who died. For many years, he had been serving as a deity in connection with the junction of Yedamangala Village and as a attendant of the Village deities.
On Thursday, a village-related Nemotsava was being held at Idyadka in Yedamangala Village. He was immediately rushed to a local hospital but to no avail.
It is speculated that he may have suffered a heart attack. No official information is available.
