Mangaluru: North Assembly candidate Dr. Y. Bharat Shetty filed his nomination papers in Mangalore on Tuesday April 18. Before that he marched with huge crowds and performed a show of strength.
In the morning Bharat Shetty went to Kavoor Maidan in an open vehicle in a procession along with activists after performing pooja at Kavoor Shri Mahalingeshwara Temple.
On this occasion, saffron blossoms were seen along the route. Thousands of activists wearing saffron shawls and waving BJP flags welcomed Dr. Y. Bharat Shetty. Former Mayor Purandardas Kuluru, Former Corporator Ashok Shetty and many others joined the BJP in a symbolic Assembly programme at Kavoor Maidan.
He arrived at the Election Office in Mini Vidhana Soudha to file. Dr. Y. Bharat Shetty who spoke about last five years, the development done as an MLA of Mangalore North Constituency.
He expressed confidence that BJP will win with majority.
