Mangaluru: An elderly man died after falling into a well at Kallapu near Thokkottu late last night. The incident was captured on cctv footage of the house. The deceased has been identified as Walter Monteiro (65), a resident of Kallapu.
At around 7.23 p.m., Walter was sitting in a sleepy drowsiness in the well in the courtyard when he suddenly rolled over and fell into the well. The family members immediately lowered the ladder into a shallow well and lifted Walter up, who suffered serious head injuries, resulting in his death. The cctv footage of the incident was recorded in the house. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
