Mangaluru: Fire breaks out, house completely gutted

Mangaluru: The fire broke out in the kitchen of Nebisa, a resident of Derikatte in Harekala Village, at around 6.50 pm on Sunday April 2. The house was completely gutted in the fire and there was no loss of life or injury.

No one was killed due to the alertness of the family who were engaged in iftar as part of ramzan fasting. But the house was completely gutted in the fire and the furniture, utensils, electrical appliances, household appliances, children’s school textbooks and other items were completely destroyed.

MLA U. T. Khader visited the spot after receiving information about the incident along with local panchayat representatives Rehana Nazir, Anees, Haneef, Rehana Muhammed, Abdul Basheer SM and others consoled the family.

The fire brigade visited the spot and along with locals managed to douse the fire.
