Mangaluru: Day by day the heat of the Sun is increasing and the villages are witnessing fire disasters. Now, a huge fire disaster has occurred in Guringana of Laila Village of Belthangady Taluk in Dakshina Kannada District.

On the afternoon of Sunday February 26, a fire broke out in a hill in Guringana of Laila Village and the fire spread to the nearby rubber plantation.

Locals informed the Fire Department. Although the Fire Brigade and locals tried to extinguish the fire, the fire spread to 5 acres of land including two acres of rubber plantation.

Already two teams of Fire Department, Laila Village panchayat and locals tried hard to extinguish the fire.

Just last week there was a fire in Padladi of Laila Village and the Fire Department arrived and extinguished the fire. A big disaster was stopped by the alertness of the villagers.
