Mangaluru: A girl’s body was found in a toilet of a house in Kaliya village’s Aiman Arcade on Saturday January 28.

The deceased has been identified as Afifa (16), daughter of Abdul Razak, a resident of Kaje Mane, Kaniyur village.

She left her house on Saturday with her father to go to Gerukatte School. Later, her father went to the City and left her at Kuppetti.

She then went to Hasinaar’s house in Aiman Arcade, next to the school, to use the restroom, but her family noticed she hadn’t come out for a long time. She was found on the ground after they looked through the window.

The door was immediately broken and she was rushed to Belthangady Government Hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

The exact cause of the death is yet to be ascertained.

According to sources, the Principal of the school called Abdul Razak, the father, to let him know that his daughter was not feeling well at around 10.00 am. However, when her father arrived at school, he found that she had been admitted to the Belthangady Government Hospital for treatment.
