Mangaluru: Government launches ambitious "Shakti" project

Mangaluru: Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) on Sunday June 11 launched the ‘Shakti’ project in Sullia unit limits of Puttur division at Sullia bus stand.

Sullia Tahsildar Manjunath G. Speaking after inaugurating the programme, said that the Shakti Yojana is an ambitious project which is beneficial for women. Sullia Nagar Panchayat member M Venkappa Gowda launched the “Shakti” project. Sullia Town Panchayat Chief Officer Sudhakar, Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer Bhavani Shankar N. Members Shareef Kanti, David Dheera Crasta, Sullia Block Congress President P.C. Jayaram, KSRTC’s Manjunath Devaraj Shetty and others were present.

The event was attended by the public. After the programme, the free journey of women was launched by distributing sweets and offering flowers.
