Mangaluru: Group of men threaten man to transfer money

Karnataka Police have issued notice to 11 people for allegedly attempting to attack the accused jilted lover in the case of murder of four members of a family

Mangaluru: In a shocking incident, a group of men tied up a man, threatened him, and got him to transfer money through Google Pay and stole a two-wheeler parked in the courtyard of his house.

The burglary took place at the house of J Goveas, a resident of Jane Bailu in Padangadi Village. Goveas has lodged a complaint with the Belthangady Police alleging that Riyaz and Faisal, who were earlier working at his house, are the accused in the theft.

Goveas was standing adjacent to rubber shed near his house while he was talking on his mobile phone when the accused approached him and assaulted him, tied him by the neck, and threatened him. He who fell to the ground was asked for a google pin and got him transfer Rs. 82,000 in cash from his mobile phone to another number.

A complaint has been lodged with Belthangady Police alleging that Goveas’ mobile phone and electric three-wheeler parked in the courtyard of the house were stolen and the accused fled from the spot. Police has registered a case.
