Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rajendra K. V. has declared a holiday for students of Anganawadi to College in the District on Tuesday July 5 owing to heavy rainfall.
The holiday has been announced to ensure students’ safety, informed DC.
Heavy rains have been lashing the Dakshina Kannada District for past four days. The life of citizens has been made difficult due to torrential rains. The students too are finding it difficult to commute to schools.
The IMD has issued an orange alert for the District on July 5 and July 6.
