Mangaluru: Seva Shikhar Foundation, Mangaluru, Dakshina Kannada District Amateur Kabaddi Association and Mangaluru Taluk Kabaddi Association jointly inaugurated ‘Kudla Kabaddi – 2023’ at NMPT Grounds in Panambur on Sunday March 12. The programme Was inaugurated by MLA Dr. Bharath Shetty Y.
Speaking on the occasion, he said, “A domestic sport like Kabaddi is on the verge of extinction today. But it is a good development that the youth are attracted towards such sports. May the organisation conducting Kabaddi tournament set an example for the society by holding more such programmes,” he said.
Bantara Yane Nadavara Matru Sangha President Ajit Kumar Rai Maladi said, “Social service is beyond any caste or religion. May Seva Shikhar, an organisation built for service, scale its pinnacle through social concern.”
A sum of Rs. 50,000 by Bantara Yane Nadavara Matru Sangha and Rs. 50,000 by Bantara Yane Nadavara Mangaluru Samiti and also a cheque of Rs. 10,000 was also handed over by Seva Shikhar Sangathane to the family of Muralidhar Rai, a soldier from Shakthinagara, who died while on duty, recently.
